SASEBO, Japan (April 14, 2022) Retired Master Chief Petty Officer Randy Miller, center, from Kansas City, Mo., and Senior Chief Navy Counselor Lalia Canalas, right, from Walnut, Calif., both assigned to Navy Personnel Command’s Fleet Engagement Team, speak to Airman Aryanna Coker, center, from Phoenix, assigned to the forward-deployed amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6) about their qualifications for choosing a rate during a Professional Apprenticeship Career Track Rodeo at the base chapel onboard Fleet Activities Sasebo. The NPC Fleet Engagement Team traveled from Millington, Tennessee, to meet with PACT Sailors stationed at commands throughout Japan to provide career counseling, designate ratings and negotiate orders on the spot. America, lead ship of the America Amphibious Ready Group, is operating in the 7th Fleet area of responsibility to enhance interoperability with allies and partners and serve as a ready response force to defend peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
