Hintersteiner See, also called Lake Hintersteinersee, near Scheffau n the Austrian Tyrol. The hills in the background are the Wilder Kaiser mountains. The lake is famed for its blue-green crystal clear waters, which are drinkable, and teeming with fish, including carp. Viewed from the Southern shore, looking Eastwards. The Eagle Walk has a section running from Kufstein, around the Wilder Kaiser mountains and on to Hintersteiner See.
