Some time before thejudges took their places upon the Webster,—until now the inti-mate companion of senators, judges, di-vines, men of literature and science—entered, and immediately took his seat inthe felons dock. His step was light andelastic, in crossing towards his place, andhis countenance betrajed a marked degreeof calm and dignified composure.
