The training of Christians in every-thing except self-government, and especially the training of the com-mon people, has been carried on as vigorously and as effectually as in 350 LIFE AND WORK IN INDIA many other fields; while in pioneer evangelistic efforts and fruits ourMission stands high above the average. Nor can we suppose that Godin His providence will not, in His own time and way, and probablysoon, accomplish the third object, which is necessary to crown the restand bring them to perfection.
