A Short-tailed Parrotbill perched on a bamboo in the forest in Thailand


This is a tiny species and it can easily be mistaken for a large insect as it flies in the bamboo forest. The Short-tailed Parrotbill (Paradoxornis davidianus) is a species in the Sylviidae family. It is found in Southern China, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, and North Vietnam. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests.
