It must be ad-mitted that these conservative though almost incred-ible figures are convincingly in favor of gas lighting. Maintenance. The experience of the average gas company isthat all trouble trips and minor repairs on gas rangesare done free of charge as a matter of service. Lamps are cleaned and inspected at least every tendays. A man at $2 per day will take care of an aver-age of fifty lamps, and the average cost per inspection.
