The so-called "sacred Basin" is a hexagonal green glass dish; According to the Chronicles was taken to Genoa from Guglielmo Embriaco in 1101, coming back from the first Crusade and from the outlet of Caesarea. Tradition has it that this is the dish that Jesus used to eat the Passover lamb at the last supper, and that has been achieved in emerald. It is therefore always the object of great veneration, one of the most important and precious relics preserved in the city, also known as the "Holy Grail genovese".
