It did please Captain Charles Donald Clay, of the United Statesarmy and the erstwhile commandant of the Clemson Agriculturaland Mechanical College, in his wisdom to cause to be formed onor about the ninth day of June, A. D., nineteen hundred andseven, and in the one hundred and thirty first year of AmericanIndependence, that illustrious organization officially known asthe Hospital Corps, familiarly known as The Bloody after a short, brilliant existence, it did not please CaptainJosiah C. Minus of the United States Army, commandant ofcadets of the Clemson Agricultural and Mechanical College, andby his explicit and imperative orders, the above mentioned andaforesaid organization was disbanded.
