A Greek bronze helmet of the Macedonian Pilos type, Mediterranean region, 4th century The bronze skull hammered in one piece. Conical shape with a flattened, slightly indented crown and a high offset rim. Fine lines all around the helmet indicate turning on a wheel or lathe after the hammering process. On either side a large hole at the rim for the chinstraps. Height cm, weight 713 g. Except for a few tears and slight deformations a completely intact helmet.
