The commanding officer of Special-Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force Crisis Response, Col. Scott F. Benedict, talks to French Legionnaires with the 2nd Foreign Infantry Regiment of the 6th Light Armored Brigade at Camp des Garrigues, France, Oct. 28, 2013, during the first bilateral training between SP-MAGTF Crisis Response and the French military. SP-MAGTF Crisis Response is a self-mobile, self-sustaining force capable of responding to a range of crises in the Africa Command area of responsibility to protect and partner-nation interests. They also conduct military-to-military training exercises with partner nations throughout Africa Command and European command.
