Spc. Barry Craig, an explosive ordnance disposal team member with the 704th Ordnance Company (EOD) from Fort Hood, Texas, provides suppressive fire support for his team leader during a barrier shoot on June 7, 2018. EOD teams are assessed on operations and associated tasks required to provide EOD support to unified land operations to eliminate and/or reduce explosive threats. The Ordnance Crucible is designed to test Soldiers’ teamwork and critical thinking skills as they apply technical solutions to real world problems improving readiness of the force.
