Major Jeffries married Miss Malina W. Stiles, at , New York, Jul>- 25, 1861. Her grandfather, AaronStiles, was an officer in the Revolutionary War. Shedied in 1875. There are two sons living, Harry C. andRichard Jeffries. In 1881 he was married to Mis. LizzieMoulton, of Canandaigua, New York. He attended the Grand Reunion at Washington, D. Brigadier-General Strong Vincent was born inWaterford, Erie County, Pennsylvania, June 17, [837;died near Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, July 7, 1863. Afterpassing through Erie Academy, and working for twoyears in his fathers iron foundry, he entered the ScientificSchool at Hartford, Connecticut; next became a studentof Trinity College, and leaving that was graduated atHarvard in [859. He then studied law, was admitted tothe bar in 1S60, and began practice in Erie. When the Civil War began. General Vincent enlisted asa private fa- three months in the volunteer arm}-; waschosen second lieutenant, and soon after was appointed adjutant. He re-enlisted for three years, was made major,and promoted lieutenant-colonel of the Eighty-thirdPennsylvania Infantry in September, 1861. He was en-gaged in the construction of siege-works at Yorktown,and soon after the battle of Hano
