Solar tower at a solar power plant near Seville, Andalusia, Spain. Hundreds of mirrors reflect sunlight towards a receiver at the top of this tower, which is around 115 metres high. This sunlight heats water within the receiver, turning it to steam. This steam is fed into a turbine, which drives a generator that produces electricity. The solar plant this tower is a part of can power around 153, 000 homes each year.
