Snout very short, with rounded horizontal outline. Anterior borderof mouth on a line with anterior border of e^e. Teeth ^, finely serrated,upper triangular, with the outer border a little concave, lower muchnarrower; a small, non-serrated median tooth. Two gill-openinji^s abovethe pectornl. Snout produced into a long flat lamina armed witha series of strong teeth along each edge. No nictitating membrane ;spiracles present, large; 5 gill-openings. Body moderately depressed,elongate.
