In order toeconomize space the building was designed asskeleton construction, considering three feet of thewall as column and the adjoining three feet as span-drel treatment. In doing this the architects escapedthe law demanding similar walls to be thirty-twoinches at the first floor. All floors are of reinforced concrete with a top stories with a high basement, the first treated in Ohioblue stone, the remaining portion in stone and cherrytoned brick with white joints. Upon the interiorthe vestibule is of marble, the inner hall of red brickwith mahogany finish. The building is planned so as to have unobstructedlight on all four facades, arrange
