Taken on October 1, 2012 on the third night of the Harvest Moon at about 9:30 pm in the northern hemisphere, Utah, USA. Of course, it wasn't blue naturally, but capturing the Harvest Moon, the full moon(s) which rise closest to the autumnal equinox, or the first day of fall, got me to thinking of another special moonrise that occurs, and more rarely, the Blue Moon. So, using artistic license, I combined the two. EDIT: Additional editing, via Photoshop and the PS plug-in, Fractalius, has been done to create this sci-fi, alien rocket ship.
