Afghan Local Police recruit head to a compound to receive training in Kajran district, Daykundi province, Afghanistan, Dec. 26. The class is part of a three-week block of instruction which teaches basic marksmanship, patrolling, improvised explosive device recognition and security techniques. The ALP program enables Afghans to provide security for their home villages.
