A protester against the presumed predominance of Catalan over Spanish is seen protesting covered with a flag during the demonstration. More than 1,500 people called by entities in favor of the Spanish language have marched through the center of Barcelona to protest against the imposition of the Catalan language on Spanish. At the end of the demonstration, groups of Spanish nationalists and Catalan sovereignists have been confronted under the supervision of the Catalan police.
