Our Lord in the former part of thisPrayer, after having taught us that theTrue and Proper Objed of Worfhip, towhom our Petitions ought conftantly(through His Mediation) to be direcfled,is the Father which is in Heaven j (thatis, the Moft High ; he who, not in Flaceor Situation^ but in Dignity and Domi-nion^ is Supreme over All:) Our Lord, Ifay, in the former part of this Prayer,after directing us to the True Obje(ft ofWorfhip, our Heavenly Father^ inflrudtsus to pray in the firfl place for Bleffingsfpiritiial and eternal-, and then, in the following part of the Prayer, to ask forthe Comforts and Necejfaries of this pre- fent Life.
