Folio 56r, Made in the fifteenth century, and rebound slightly later, the way this small book of hours appears in the present might be not different from how the sixteenth-century viewer saw it. In that period, the precious red velvet textile embroidered with silk and silver, was added to the manuscript probably in Belgium or England. The book was made in Flanders around 1480-1490, and was probably destined for Cambrai, as indicated by the selection of saints in the calendar
