The decoration, on the platform in the school colors of Royall]lue and class color, White, was harmonious and remarkably wellarranged, in fact just what one would expect from so skillful an ar-tist as H. C. Smith has often proved himself to be. Above thedecorations was suspended the large portrait of our honored towns-man, Mr. Charles C. June 23, 1901.—Minortown is a l:)usy and thriving- hamlet situatedtwo and a half miles northeast of Woodbury. The name originatedfrom the JMinor family, as every house had inmates and owners bythat name. Samuel Minor, Sr., was a great land owner, having inhis possession hundreds of acres in the valley of the XonnewaugRiver, which runs through this place, on which has been a mill sitefor more than a century, Adam Minor erecting the first mill. Thenchanging hands, the buildings lieing rebuilt and repaired till nowthey are known as Goodsells Mills. Dea. Truman Minor was anupright and God fearing man. The memory of his gifted prayersand talks in religious gatherings will never be forgotten by the list-ener.
