Wounded Veteran Tests Hand Cycle


Sterling Heights, Michigan - Nick Koulchar, who lost both legs while serving in the Army in Iraq, tests a handcycle prototype at the General Motors Technical Center. Koulchar is part of the Achilles Freedom Team of Wounded Veterans. The handcycles are being developed by engineering students at Michigan Technological University with help from General Motors engineers.
