GULF (Nov. 22, 2016) Petty Officer 3rd Class Daequan Lovick, right, serves as phone-talker during a mass casualty drill aboard the guided-missile destroyer USS Nitze (DDG 94). Lovick serves onboard Nitze as a logistics specialist and is responsible for managing inventories, issuing repair parts and maintaining financial reports. Nitze, deployed as part of the Eisenhower Carrier Strike Group, is supporting maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the 5th Fleet area of operations.
