This ridgepersists as far as the mouth of the River Osa, where itsuddenly comes to an end. At regular intervals along itssummit continues that chain of sHm towers, all musicallynamed, which connect it on the north with Castiglionedella Pescaja, a line of sentinels to give warning of thedreaded corsairs who in the past so terribly scourged 35
