Galah resting on a tree branch Southern Highlands New South Wales Australia. The Galah is a species of cockatoo and is the most widespread across Australia. It is a highly sociable species, and can be seen in large flocks of 1,000 individuals in the country. The galah typically feeds on the ground gathering seeds and may also eat other foods, including berries, buds, flowers and insect larvae. The Galah adapts to urban environments but is found in small numbers.
