Caption: Yangtze River, Hubei, China - Nov 2002. Before the days of steam power trackers would pull cargo ships up the Three Gorges on the Yangtze River. No longer necessary for ships, these trackers are used to ferry tourists up a shallow tributary off the Yangtze. One of the most popular tourist destinations in China, the Three Gorges will soon become obsolete, as part of the Three Gorges Dam, which, if successful, will become the biggest hydroelectric dam in the world.
