Orange-hued clouds float across the sky behind this silhouetted giraffe. MAASAI MARA, KENYA: THIS STUDENT spent weeks capturing stunning photographs of Africa?s most impressive animals silhouetted against the setting sun. In one image, a perfectly silhouetted leopard climbed up a tree in search of a high-vantage point to watch the sunset and rest following the heat of the day. In another, a giraffe seemingly glanced towards the camera although its features were obscured thanks to the stunning orange-hued sky which shone brightly behind the creature. The beautiful photographs were captured by student and photographer Shruti Kori (18) from Maharashtra, India, whilst on safari in the Masaai Mara National Reserve, Kenya. Shruti spent several weeks in the region using her Canon R6 camera and Canon 100-500mm lens to take the images. The Maasai Mara National Reserve was designated as a conservation site in 1961. The word ?Mara? means spotted and this refers to the region?s short and bushy shrubs which are dotted all across the savannah. Kori
