'K type" specimen ; 2a en~ largemen t of a portion marked by dotted lines. In fine grained argillites of Parker's quarry, Georgia township, Vt. Other fragments have been found. Resembles a bundle of the long needles of Hyalonema (a genus of sponges). The resemblance to Serpulites dissolutus (Billings) in Trenton limestone^ is considered deceptive by Walcott, who puts it in Lower Cambrian. See foot note to p, ISJf. above.
