SASEBO, Japan (July 17, 2017) Sailors work with members of the community to remove litter from Shirihama Beach as part of Japan’s Ocean Day, a national holiday that gives thanks to the ocean. Staff members from Commander, Amphibious Force 7th Fleet, in partnership with Commander, Fleet Activities Sasebo, routinely participate in community outreach and service projects with the Sasebo community as a way to establish a foundation of trust and friendship with the citizens of Japan.
