During the months of April and May of the same year,Messrs. Thomson and Youngblood, desirous of making their la-bors as effective as possible, made a tour among the Dyaks tolearn their condition, and at the same time to observe the fa-cilities for missionary operations among them. The result oftheir observations is thus expressed in Mr. Thomsons ownwords : We are fully satisfied that there is no apparent ob-stacle to our settling immediately in the midst of these inter-.
