Man made stone versus nature's trees: Ancient Ta Prohm stone temple and Buddhist stone carvings eaten by tree roots - Cambodia
Beautiful and detailed Buddhist art decorations on the walls of the ancient Ta Prohm Buddhist temple erected by the Khmer empire of South East Asia, taken over and being eaten by the roots of trees with the passing of time. The Ta Prohm temple is now part of the Angkor historical complex, a UNESCO World Heritage site visited by millions of tourists every year, in an industry which is the basis of the Cambodian economy.
