Dr. McDunnough, in 1937, made it the geno- type of ''AseptisV It ranges from western Canada through Washington to Arizona, and eastward through Utah to Nebraska. Its larva has been described by Dyar (1898: 320) and Hampson (1908: 139 f.). Specimens taken in Del Mar on April 10, 1962, enable me to de- scribe and illustrate the egg.
