Alexander Ker-nahan was born in Ireland about i8cx5,ami when a young man emigrated to.\morica, settling first in Onondaga county,N. where he worked for eight dollarsper month, and subsequently moving toLivingston county, N. Y., whence, in came to Sandusky county, Ohio, wherehe bought land and spent the remainder ofhis years, dying in 1876. In politics hewas a Republican, and in religious beliefa Presbyterian.
