Field Marshal Lord Paget, 1st Marquess of Anglesey, (1768 – 1854), was a British Army officer and politician. He fought at the Battle of Waterloo when he led the charge of the British heavy cavalry that in part routed the French Army. His later support of proceedings against Queen Caroline, alleging her infidelity, made him unpopular for a time .
