In 1847 the second train central station was built here. In 1912 it became a cinema. In 1915 the old building was demolished and a new cinema building was built nearby. In 1917 the new Palads cinema building in new baroque style (Danish building style from 1905-20) was inaugurated. The building is still the same, but the interior has been rebuilt several times.
