Karima Ali, 35, rode six hours on a motorbike to reach a hospital where children are treated for malnutrition. Malnutrition is a recurring crisis in Niger, a landlocked West African country, where climate change, conflict and a fast growing population are all increasing the challenges when it comes to getting enough food. In 2022, million Nigeriens were said to be in need of urgent humanitarian assistance.
