A detail from the Bavarian Parliament building (the Landtag) in Munich, Germany. The decorated facade is topped with a statue of an angel. Since 1949 the Maximilianeumhas hosted the state paliament. The building is attributed to Friedrich Bürklein, and was built between 1857 and 1874. The building was renovated in 1985-6.
