Mud huts, winter camp, Hindu Kush peaks, Little Pamir, Wakhan, Afghanistan
A collection of mud huts that make up a winter camp for Kirghiz nomads is dwarved by high peaks of the Hindu Kush, dawn in Little Pamir region of the Wakhan corridor, Afghanistan. The Kirghiz are nomadic herders who spend the entire year moving with their flocks of sheep, goats and yaks in the high and barren Pamir range near the borders with China, Pakistan and Tajikistan.
