Any number in the authors intensimetric scale {See The Archives of PhysiologicalTherapy for January, 1906), indicates this distance in metres, which is practically equivalentto yards. The measurement is made under the normal conditions of office work, not when thepupils of the eyes have been widely dilated by a long stay in the dark.
