Iceland, June 9, 2010 : Volcanic ash from Eyjafjallajokull volcano is still blowing around south and southwest Iceland. Roadblock is closing the roads towards the Eyjafjallajokull area, due to dangers of flush-floods. Much of this area is covered in a layer of volcanic ash and it is so fine-grained that it blows around even with moderate winds. Its now over two weeks since the Eyjafjallajokull eruption stopped spewing ash that blew over to continental Europe, but there are reports of black and white clouds seen rising again from the top of the volcano. Experts do not think that this means the eruption will necessarily start again anytime soon. See also my images on Alamy of volcanic ash in Reykjavik:
