Received hisearly education from the common schools andacademies of the State, later from Dartmouth College,from which he graduated in 1875. Practiced law, was also a manufacturer and president of the New Hampshire Unitarian Con-ference, director and vice-president of the AmericanUnitarian Association, bank trustee, president of theUnited Life and Accident Insurance Company ofConcord, New Hampshire, and occasionally a wandererin the Elysian Fields of the Muses.
