On the way, and indeed whilephotographing the Falcons eggs from above, I had become aware of someother a\ian denizens somewhere, as evidenced Iw tlie lusty peepings of a callowbrood. Now one, and now a nestful, clamored or were silent by turns. WhenI reached the ])latform, I found my birds. The Falcon eggs were upon thepoint of hatching. Onlv one had pipped, but all were singing /;; ozo. Betterso! I ttuned and retraced my steps without disappointment—shame rather, formaternity is sacred in castle or in cabin. Farewell, brave Falco
