The side incorporates 24 coins (Mariengroschen) minted between 1670 and 1679 under Duke Rudolf Augustus of Brunswick-Wolffenbüttel (r. 1666–1704) and Duke Johann Friedrich of Brunswick-Lüneburg (r. 1665–1679)..
