The embalse de Yesa / Yesa reservoir in Navarre, nortthern Spain


Yesa reservoir is located in the Pyrenees and is formed with the damming of the River Aragon in the town of Navarre of Yesa ( Spain ). Located in the northwest of the province of Aragon in Zaragoza and in the northeastern region of Navarre . Mostly flooded lands called Berdún Canal , in the Aragonese region of the Jacetania developed in the municipalities of Sigüés , Ruesta , Esco and Tiermas . is known by the nickname of the Sea of the Pyrenees and is at the entrance of the same . Waterway is the largest area in Navarre, but it comes the Bardenas Canal to divert water to the area south of Navarra Ribera and water the Bardenas Zaragoza and the region of Cinco Villas. Its waters are also designed to supply and electricity generation.
