Various Notes. The St. Louis Retail Florists' Asso- ciation held a meeting August 11, at Mission Inn Garden, but only six mem- bers responded to the call and no busi- ness of any importance was transacted. The lack of interest shown by the re- tailers is still unexplained, but the offi- cers say that another attempt will be made next month and if still no interest is shown the association will have to disband. The publicity committee omitted its meeting August ]2, owing to the fact that half the members were out of town. The next meeting will be held Septem- ber 9. Peter Fender, who has been with Yandervoort's floral department, has re- signed and accepted a position as sales- man for the St. Louis Wholesale Cut Flower Co. August Vollmer, of the St. Louis Pot- tery Mfg. Co., says the force has been working overtime of late to catch up with advance orders for flower pots.
