In the daytime the curiosity of theautomobile driver is aroused by thebright red reflector and his attentiondrawn to the crossing sign. At night,however, this warning signal becomesimperative. It would be entirely impos-sible for a person with normal eyesightto pass by on the road without beingconscious of the brilliant red light fromthe dome reflector aufl also thoroughlyunderstanding tliat there is a railroadcrossing 350 feet distan
