The foliage masses are so placed that a vista opens upshowing the full moon just above the distant hills, and in theupper part of the sky are clouds which, both in color andvalue, serve to balance the darker warm tints of the foregroimdand middle distance. The sky shows great masses of darkgray clouds mingled with others of white, and a space of brokenblue above in whicli cirrus clouds are twisted by the wind.
