A day after clinching the National League Pennant the Chicago Cubs are supported and saluted by a popular win flag symbol that flew over Chicago's Navy Pier, at far left. In the background rising above the scene is the John Hancock Building and at far right is a small arc of Navy Pier's Ferris wheel, the Centennial Wheel, so named in honor of the locations' 100th anniversary. Navy Pier is the city's number one tourist destination though it would be more than rivaled by the Cubs home during the upcoming World Series at Wrigley Field, the first series at Wrigley Field in 71 years.
