Fire crews and ambulance service attended a domestic property following reports of a crane collapse in Upper Edmonton at around lunchtime . It appears that the hook of a luffing jib tower crane struck the home causing damage to the roof, the elderly couple were assessed by London Ambulance service but were found to be uninjured. Fire crews and ambulance service attended a domestic property following reports of a crane collapse in Upper Edmonton at around lunchtime on Saturday 18th October 2014. It appears that the hook of a luffing jib tower crane struck the home causing damage to the roof, the elderly couple were assessed by London Ambulance service but were found to be uninjured. Countryside the developer of the Silver Point project are not thought to have commEnted yet on the exact circumstances of the accident. The crane rope was left dangling in mid air following the accident though it has not yet been confirmed whether the crane was actually lifting a load at the time of the accident.
