Devon and Somerset Staghounds October 10th 1981. An exhausted stag stands at bay under a small stone bridge near Dunster. The hunt had lasted for around five hours and extended from Morebath to Dunster, probably well over 20 miles as the deer and hounds ran. This was long before the Hunting Act 2004 that banned this pastime on grounds of cruelty.
